Damascus steel is well sought after not only because of the gorgeous design it adds to the blade, but also for its ability to maintain a keen edge. The blade of this medieval replica sword is hand forged from a blend of 1095/15N20 steels that have been carefully folded and layered approximately 400-520 times to create the beautiful Damascus steel wave pattern you see here. Each blade is completely unique; no two are exactly alike in their pattern. The wooden handle has been made into a beautiful basket weave (or chevron) design, complimented well by the 100% pure brass cross guard and pommel. Included with this work of art is a complementary hand tooled leather sheath with snap closures for a secure hold.
